When the opportunity presents itself, we like to swing flies. Most of my friends are more commited to it than I am - I'm the first to admit I'd rather beat the skunk by nymphing up a fish or two than get shutout swinging (yesterday being a perfect example of this). That said, as anybody who's ever had an 8 lb. chromer smash-grab a streamer will attest to, it can quickly become yet another addiction. The flies are part of the fun too, and this is a bug that our buddy Greg Senyo spun up just for us. We deemed it, "The Original Shaggy Dude," or OSD.

Looks like it's got the right stuff, but we'll find out soon enough. I'm sure at some point Greg will throw up a tutorial on his tying blog, so keep an eye out.
